Firstly, good luck to everyone awaiting results tomorrow. I'm sure
that everyone here will tell you that no matter what results you find
yourself with, you're always likely to get things sorted out in the
end, even if it means scrambling around in clearing for a day or two.
Don't be put off by the inevitable people posting about their 6 A
grades or whatever - it tends to happen here year in year out - as
long as you're happy with your results that really is all that
matters.

So, if you feel up to it, tell us where you're heading, what you'll be
studying and if you want to, your actual grades.

Just got my A-Levels (only taken me 3 years!!!) and have finally managed to
get a place at uni!
AS
Geography - C
RE - E

A -Level
History - E
Media Studies - C
IT - B
Business studies - C
General Studies - C

Hmm, I only needed 320 for my course (music tec with audio systems) and by
my reconing I've got 440!

So thats me off to Huddersfield uni to do my degree!

Alas - I can't go out for a drink because I have to work!

Ah well!

If it's Pembridge or Beit then that is good.

Beit is nice, close to uni and to the union, Pembridge is more social and
fun, and it's a good distance away so you can leave uni behind at the
weekend.

Given there's a lot of ICDoC stuff in the answer to this, I've mailed

Unfortunately my laptop's hard disc crashed today (the IBM diagnostic says
it was dropped, which is odd as it's been sitting on my desk since last
summer). So this means I'll have to fork out for a new PC, since I don't
think it's worth replacing (the laptop's quite^W very old and slow). And
a monitor too, grrrrr. Bye bye £400 or so.

Wibble? Most of our teaching is Linux-based. There's only one lab (and I
don't think JMC even do it) in Windows. Linux-based laptops are fine
with us here. (I assume that the letter came from ICT via the Maths part
of the house, somehow...)

Wibble? Most of our teaching is Linux-based. There's only one lab (and I

actually really well designed as far as maintenance is concerned.

but I'm told the workload gradually reduces. First lecture was today (:

I'm glad I didn't get into Cambridge now, London is amazing (and today I
managed to walk to the uni, and back again, without getting lost. Go me,
only took 5 days...).

It means Personal Maths Tutor. Not to be confused with my Maths Personal
Tutor. Or my Personal Programming Tutor. Two tutors from Computing,
one from Maths.

ABB (Maths, Physics, Economics).
Got also a B at AS Computing. Got to sort out the cashing in of that
tomorrow.

Nottingham have confirmed my place for Elec. Eng., but I'm going to
phone them tomorrow about defering my entry till next year (I've been
offered a job).

Any thoughts or advice on that?
