UCAS question
(too old to reply)

Out of my 6 choices for UCAS, I have recieved 2 of them back, both from the
same university.

This uni was sort of my back up choice, as they want low grades for what I
want to do (240 points for Applied Psychology, 180 for Neuropsychology) -
detailed on their website.

However I've just logged in to the UCAS site, which says they want 260 and
240 points respectively for entry onto the course!

Is this right? Can they just up the requirements so dramatically? I applied
there only because of the low requirements, as a back up..

I realise that they may have had an unprecedented number of applicants or
something, but surely it's not fair to raise them so much?

TIA

They can do anything they want, with regards to offers (apart from giving
unconditional offers iirc).

And in the first subject it's only a 20 point hike.

Ahh, you're right about it only being 20 points; the Neuropsychology one
just made me do a "WTF" at the whole thing, lol. I suppose the initial low
entry requirements for a seemingly "hard" subject led a lot of people to
enter.

What a day :)
