When you go for a job interview do they usually only care about your result
and subject or will they usually want to see each unit you did broken down
(possibly even an explanation of what each unit entailed)?

I am thinking of graduate level jobs in large companies or jobs in much
smaller firms.

Thanks.

I graduated in 1987. If asked anything about my degree immediately after
graduation, it was only about the final result. Now that I have done
professional examinations, I am not even asked about my degree result.

It is interesting that if you want to work in education they ask for
much more than any other employer. I have seen requests for an
authenticated transcript of every module I took on both my degrees and
original copies of certificates for every exam I have ever taken right
back to GCSE. I wonder if this is because the educational establishment
has an interest in convincing the world that the results of the exams
they promote are actually important, even though no-one else in the real
world thinks so?

I suspect that it is because it is otherwise too easy to claim to have
qualifications that one has not!

But surely that applies to every field of employment, yet as you say
most employers are only interested in your final result, and if you have
employment history then they may not even care about that.

I suspect it'll be the subject and final result.

Large companies are more likely not to care - They'll train you up
themselves.
